The Rural Municipality of Lac Pelletier No. 107 is
located in southwest Saskatchewan.
2026 Tax Notices have been mailed out. Here is a link to the newsletter, that was sent out with the Notices.
The Municipality is working on a Lake Management Plan - this was a result of the Lake Capacity Study and the RM hopes to have the Plan in place in 2027.
February of 2027 when the Census numbers come out the Rural Municipality will be following it's Division Review Policy.
Watch for information and input request after February of 2027.
BACKGROUND
Since January 1, 2023, all RMs are required to have a division boundary review policy that provides that each division has, as nearly as reasonably practical, the same population or number of voters. RM council must determine whether to apply to the Minister of Government Relations to alter division boundaries each time a review is conducted under the RM’s policy. An RM may also review its divisions on its own initiative at any time and for any reason.
It does not require division boundaries be changed after the review - only that the results of the review be made Public awareness of the facts about the distribution of population or voters between divisions.
